Installation Requirements

Baseline Requirements (Administrative Account)

This section describes the default requirements for installing and running the Open iT Insight module using an administrative account.

Meeting these requirements ensures full access to system resources needed for installation, configuration, and normal operation.

Ensure that the following components are installed and available:

Open iT Core Server version 10.3
.NET 9 Runtime – Required to run Open iT Insight services and components.
PostgreSQL Database – Open iT Insight requires a PostgreSQL database to store operational data. During installation, you may use the connection details configured in Configuring the Orchestrator and PostgreSQL Instance

Prepare the Open iT Insight JSON Web Token (JWT) Client ID and Client Secret before installation.

If you do not have these credentials, you may request them by contacting support@openit.com.

For optimal functionality and integration, it is recommended to install the following:

Open iT Ingress – Enables access to the Open iT web interface and provides enhanced navigation across Open iT web-based applications. This component is optional and can be installed during the initial setup or configured later as needed.
Open iT Analysis Server – Enables advanced analysis and reporting of Open iT Insight data.

Minimum Supported Operating System

The Open iT Insight installation requires administrative access rights on the host machine to allow successful directory and file creation.

These permissions are also necessary to perform installation, configuration, and integration with the required components.
