Configuring Data Loading and Refresh Settings

Use the data loading and refresh settings to control how much historical data the Data Processor initially loads and when it refreshes existing data.

Step 1: Open the appsettings.json file

  1. Navigate to the LicensePredictor directory.

    By default, this is located at: C:\Program Files\OpeniT\LicensePredictor

  2. Open the appsettings.json file.

Step 2: Configure the Data Loading and Refresh Settings

  1. Locate the DataProcessor section in the appsettings.json file.

  2. Configure the following settings:

    • InitialLoadYears — Specify the number of historical years to process during the initial data load. The default value is 4.

      At least 1 year is used. Increasing this value increases the amount of historical data processed and may require additional processing time and storage.

    • RefreshLookbackDays — Specify the number of recent days to reprocess during a scheduled refresh. The default value is 45.

      At least 1 day is used to account for late-arriving data.

    • RefreshDayOfMonth — Specify the day of the month when the scheduled refresh runs. Accepted values are 1 through 31. The default value is 1.

    • RefreshTime — Specify the local time when the scheduled refresh runs using the HH format. The default value is "01:00".

      Note

      If RefreshDayOfMonth specifies a day that does not exist in a particular month, the refresh runs on the last day of that month.

      If RefreshTime contains an invalid value, the default value of 01:00 is used.

    Example: appsettings.json
    "InitialLoadYears": 4,
    "RefreshLookbackDays": 45,
    "RefreshDayOfMonth": 1,
    "RefreshTime": "01:00"

    In this example, the data processor initially processes 4 years of historical data. The scheduled refresh runs on the first day of each month at 01:00 and reprocesses the most recent 45 days.

  3. Save the changes.

Step 3: Restart the LicensePredictor Service

  1. Open Task Manager.

  2. Under Services, restart the OpeniTLicensePredictor service.
