Configuring Batch Settings

Use the Batch settings to configure the storage and processing of forecast and evaluation runs.

Step 1: Open the appsettings.json file

  1. Navigate to the LicensePredictor directory.

    By default, this is located at: C:\Program Files\OpeniT\LicensePredictor

  2. Open the appsettings.json file.

Step 2: Configure the Batch Settings

  1. Locate the Batch section in the appsettings.json file.

  2. Configure the following settings:

    • OutputDirectory — Specify the absolute path where saved run folders, metrics, forecasts, and automatic workflow state are stored. The default directory is C:\ProgramData\OpeniT\Data\LicensePredictor\102\Results.

    Make sure the configured directory is writable.

    • MaxParallelism — Specify a whole number to control the number of concurrent file preparation, forecasting, and evaluation jobs. The default value is 4.

      Set to 0 to automatically determine the limit based on the available logical processors.

      Note

      Increasing MaxParallelism may improve processing throughput but also increases CPU and memory usage.

    • RetainedResultLimit — Specify a whole number to control the number of lightweight completed-run summaries retained for web clients. The default value is 20.

      Note

      This setting affects only the retained run summaries. Full saved run artifacts remain in the output directory and are loaded when opened.

    Example: appsettings.json
    "Batch": {
    "OutputDirectory": "C:/ProgramData/OpeniT/Data/LicensePredictor/102/Results",
    "MaxParallelism": 4,
    "RetainedResultLimit": 20
  3. Save the changes.

Step 3: Restart the LicensePredictor Service

  1. Open Task Manager.

  2. Under Services, restart the OpeniTLicensePredictor service.
