Configuring Host Filtering Settings

Use the AllowedHosts setting to control ASP.NET host-header filtering for LicensePredictor.

Step 1: Open the appsettings.json file​

  1. Navigate to the LicensePredictor directory.

    By default, this is located at: C:\Program Files\OpeniT\LicensePredictor

  2. Open the appsettings.json file.

Step 2: Configure the Host Filtering Settings​

  1. Locate the AllowedHosts section in the appsettings.json file.

  2. Set AllowedHosts to the hostnames allowed in requests to LicensePredictor. The default value is *, which allows all hostnames.

    warning

    Configure AllowedHosts carefully. An incorrect restriction can prevent access to the LicensePredictor.

    Example: appsettings.json
    "AllowedHosts": "*"

  3. Save the changes.

Step 3: Restart the LicensePredictor Service​

  1. Open Task Manager.

  2. Under Services, restart the OpeniTLicensePredictor service.
