Open iT License Keys
Open iT software license keys reside in $CONFIG_DIR/license. The license file is line-oriented. Each line is a license key to one Open iT feature.
A line is divided into a clear text part and an encrypted part. The clear text part identifies the feature key it represents. The date in parentheses is the expiration date of that feature.
| License Key | Description |

| CORE | This is used by the client and server daemon to verify that they are allowed to run. This feature controls the infrastructure and lets the whole system work properly. |
| SERVER_WEBREPORTS | This is used by the server to verify that it is allowed to generate Open iT reports on the Core Server web interface. This key is also valid for SERVER_VIEWREPORTS. |
| SERVER_VIEWREPORTS | This is used by the server to verify that the user is allowed to view the generated Open iT reports on the Core Server web interface. This key must be present exclusively if the SERVER_WEBREPORTS is not available. |
| LICENSE_LICVIEW | This is used by licview to verify that it is allowed to show the status of used licenses. |
| SERVER_LICENSE | This is used by the server to verify that it is allowed to merge license data, as well as data from the Open iT clients, into Open iT records. |
| SERVER_OLAPREPORTS | This is used for Analysis Server reporting. |
| SERVER_ENTERPRISE | This is used to verify that an installation of the Enterprise version of Open iT is allowed. |
| SERVER_CLIMS | This is used to verify that it is allowed to install and utilize the functionalities of Centralized License Integration and Management System (CLIMS) server. |
| LICENSE_MONITOR | This is used by the Core Server - License Monitor to view license status in the web interface. |
| CLIENT_ACCOUNTING | This is used by the client to activate or enable monitoring of system resource usage of hosts (typically Pacct and SAR data). |
| CLIENT_GRID_ACCOUNTING | This is used by the client to enable monitoring of data for grid computing systems. Supported systems include: |
| CLIENT_STORAGE | This is used by the client to verify that it is allowed to collect information about local file systems or backup systems. |
| CLIENT_LICENSE | This is used by the client to verify that it is allowed to collect license usage data from the license manager. The license server may be on another host. |
| CLIENT_EXT_ACCOUNTING | This is used by the client to verify that it is allowed to collect process accounting data for long jobs. |
| CLIENT_RECORDER | This is used by the client to verify that it is allowed to collect keyboard and mouse events data. |
| CLIENT_LICENSE_OPTIMIZER | This is used by the client to verify that it is allowed to disable idle applications and collect related data. |
| CLIENT_WEBAPP_ACCOUNTING | This is used by the client to verify that it is allowed to configure Web App Tracker for monitoring and collecting web application data usage. |
| LICENSE_PLANNER | This is used to verify that the server is allowed to process data for chargeback and contract management. |
| SERVICENOW | This is used to verify installation for ServiceNow Integration for advanced and smooth engineering and license management. |
