# External Authentication

The Open iT External Authentication feature uses Identity Server as the single source of truth for authentication and Reverse Proxy as a gateway. By doing so, this feature guarantees that only authorized users can access the Core Server while also providing a seamless user experience. Administrators can also easily add or remove users from the system. Overall, this feature improves the security and usability of the Open iT products.
