OLAP-based Pivot Grid Export on the Analysis page

Cause of Deprecation

The third-party component provider, DevExpress, confirmed that the issue affecting report export when using an OLAP data source within the DevExpress MVC Pivot Grid cannot be resolved.

DevExpress has advised that they no longer actively develop the MVC Pivot Grid and attempts to address the issue have not produced a working solution.

Effects of Deprecation

The OLAP-based Pivot Grid Export limitation will not receive a permanent fix and its related functionality will be phased out.

Solution

Using the direct Excel connection reporting is recommended. This option generates the report directly in Excel, where it is saved as a standard file, making it easy to store, reopen, and distribute as needed.

The chart export functionality also remains fully supported.
