# Internet Explorer URL Data Collection

Open iT supports collection of browsing history in an Internet Explorer browser using its browsing history logs. It gives details regarding the user who visited a specific URL using the Internet Explorer browser.

# Cause of Deprecation

The support is limited to Internet Explorer, and other browsers are used besides IE.

Open iT developed Web Application Browser Log, a new data collection that caters all commonly used browsers. This supports Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, and Safari.

# Effects of Deprecation

The testing of data type 79, Internet Explorer URL Use, will be discontinued. Issues relating to the collection and data processing of this data type will be on low priority.

In current versions, the filter for the mentioned data type was removed and it will not be produced anymore.

# Workaround

Use the following data types to report on web browsing history and usages:

• (120) Web App Browser Log
• (123) Web App Total Use
