This guide outlines the migration procedure for transferring the Core Client from an old machine to a new one.
Due to the complexity of migrating the Open iT Core Client, especially in highly customized setups, it is recommended to seek professional assistance from OpeniT.

Prerequisites
Accomplish the following items before migrating the Core Client:
Coordinate with the Open iT Delivery or Support team to obtain a list of custom configurations, scripts, or binaries deployed in your setup.
Collect screenshots of the License Monitor for future reference when reapplying configurations.
Make sure you back up all the critical folders before initiating migration; this includes:
Windows - Core Folder (default location:
C:\Program Files\OpeniT
) - Data Folder (default location:
C:\ProgramData\OpeniT
)
Unix - Core Folder (default location:
/var/opt/openit
)
macOS - Core Folder (default location:
/usr/local/openit
)

Once all the items are accomplished, you may now proceed to install the Core Client in the new machine.
