# Open iT Reporting Services

Open iT Reporting Services is a web portal that is hosted via SQL Server Reporting Services. It includes a range of pre-configured report templates, displayed in different graphical formats, to enhance the visual representation of data. These templates are divided into two categories: LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 and Level 2.

# LicenseAnalyzer Level 1

The LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 includes several report templates that shows various data in predefined formats for Level 1.

Follow these instructions to access the LicenseAnalyzer Level 1:

Analysis Server Reporting: LA Level 1

While in the Home page of the Open iT Reporting Services web portal, click the LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 folder.

This should be redirected to the list of LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 report templates.

Click the desired report template. This should display the report viewer. Hover over the report title to display the description.

Please see the description of each report template in the section LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 Reports Description.
Follow the instructions in the section Generating Report Template to properly generate the report.

# LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 Report Description

This is the list of LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 report templates and its description.

Report Title	Description
Annual Usage Overview	Monthly summary overview of application's license usage for specified period of time. (Tabular view)
Application Distinct User per Hour Summary	Presents a chart with an overview of Distinct Users per hour; ideal for usage pattern analysis.
Day since Last Used - per User	Individual License usage report on a monthly overview. Also shows the day the application is last used. Very useful for named-user agreements. (Tabular view).
Distinct User per month	Presents an overview of Distinct Users per application per month; ideal for usage pattern analysis.
DSLS License Usage per Licensing Model and Pricing Structure	Presents a table that features license usage of individual licensing model and pricing structure; ideal in monitoring usage past the specified threshold.
Heatmap - Month Hour	Heatmap (graph) showing the hour(s) of the day the license usages peak and when it is least used across each hour of a day for a period of one month.
Heatmap - Week Hour	Heatmap (graph) showing the hour(s) of the day the license usages peak and when it is least used across each hour of a day for a period of one month.
License Efficiency Chart	Presents inverse cumulative frequency chart for concurrent license checkouts. It also shows number of licenses being used within 95 and 99 percent of the time.
License Efficiency Chart - With Percentile	Extended version of License Efficiency Chart which includes the 99% and 95% Confidence Intervals, and Weekly Time Bucket reports.
License Overview	Presents a monthly Elapsed Time view of applications within specified periods.
License Usage per Feature Version	Presents a monthly summary overview of application's license usage categorized by version for a specified period of time. (Tabular view)
License Usage per User	Presents a table that features license usage of individual users; ideal for monitoring usage past the specified threshold.
Max and Average License Use - With Denials	Daily license usage trend history, including license denials of selected vendor license/feature for specified period of time.
Max Concurrent - Distinct User	Presents a table that shows the Max Concurrent Distinct Users for the specified Vendor Licenses and Applications.
Host Inventory	Presents a table of hosts with and without Open iT Client installed. (Tabular view)
Summary page to detail page	Presents a comprehensive view of the application license usage and denials which can be further drilled down to user-level.
User Denials	License denials of distinct users for selected Vendor License and Applications.

# Advanced

This folder contains report templates that need back-end configurations.

Report Name	Description
Invoice	The invoice statement used for pay-per-use agreements or chargeback.
License Efficiency LAN versus WAN	LAN vs WAN agreement simulations. This shows the total concurrent licenses of all the vendor licenses against the true concurrent license usage when these vendor licenses are combined.
Percentile Cost Savings	Presents potential cost savings from the selected applications based on the number of unused licenses at the selected efficiency percentile, unit license costs, and maintenance costs.
Reserved License Usage	Presents a line graph showing the total number of reserved licenses and the total number of users using reserved licenses. It also presents a table showing the details of each point in the line graph.
Usage Right Compliance	Shows license compliance of applications that are not using license managers by comparing ownership and usage.

# Autodesk

This folder contains report templates specific for Autodesk.

Report Name	Description
Autodesk Days since Last Active	Individual License usage report on a monthly overview. Also shows the day the application is last used. Very useful for a named-user agreements. (Tabular view)
Autodesk Days since Last Used	Individual License usage report on a monthly overview. Also shows the day the application is last used. Very useful for a named-user agreements. (Tabular view)
Autodesk seat usage per user	Shows the Autodesk seat usage of a specific user in the past three, six, nine, or 12 months.
Autodesk sear usage report	Shows tables of Autodesk named-user license subscription expiration, Max Available Licenses, number of Distinct Users, and Elapsed Time per package. This can be drilled down to show a bar chart of the number of Distinct Users per Autodesk package.
Autodesk seat usage summary to detail	Shows a comprehensive view of Autodesk seat usages which can be further drilled down to user-level.
Autodesk token usage report	Shows tables of Autodesk Flex expiration, the number of available tokens, and the Distinct Users token consumption per feature. (Tabular view)
TokenFlex - Token	Shows the Autodesk Token Flex license agreement. Since Token Flex is consumption-based, in addition to the total usage and usage trend, a running total is added to easily see if all the tokens available are about to be consumed. The actual session used is also shown in the report. Use the instructions in Configuring Autodesk TokenFlex - Token SSRS Report Template section to set up all the necessary configurations.

Mathworks

This folder contains report templates specific for Mathworks.

Report Name	Description
User Equivalents with Cost	Presents the pay-per-use agreement of MathWorks. Counting of "full user equivalents" based on the Elapsed Time per application and toolbox. Users are charged based on the total Elapsed Time combined with a cost factor.

The LicenseAnalyzer Level 2 includes several report templates that shows various data in predefined formats for Level 2.

This is the list of LicenseAnalyzer Level 2 report templates and its description.

Report Name	Description
Active vs Inactive per User	List of application users and corresponding usage activity and inactivity.
Application Activity	Recorded elapsed time of an application's activity versus inactivity.
Work Ratio	Monitored elapsed time of an application's activity versus inactivity ratio relative to overall usage.

To generate a specific report templates, follow these instructions:

Click the desired report template.
Complete all required parameters. Parameters may vary for each report template.
Click the View Report button at the upper-right corner of the report viewer.
Wait until the report is generated.
