# User Denials

This report displays license utilization and denial information per user for selected applications. It shows the highest concurrent usage per user (Max in Use), the user license checkout duration (Elapsed Time), and the number of denial events encountered by the user, if any. You can explore the report further to understand the reasons behind the denial events. This report is useful for identifying users who have encountered denials.

Follow these instructions to generate a report:

1. On the Open iT Reporting Services web portal home page, click on the LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 folder.

   This will redirect you to the list of LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 report templates.

2. Click the User Denials report template.

3. Select the Application Type, Vendor License, Application Name, Year, Month, Day of Month, Hour, and Denial Reason you want to include in the report.

   Parameter	Description
   Application Type	Use this to specify the name of grouping from which data are classified (the same listing found in the Application Hierarchy > Application Type).
   Vendor License	Use this to specify the name of an application in a vendor license. The table list seen in the Application Hierarchy > Vendor License is the same, only arranged alphabetically (not by application name).
   Application Name	Use this to specify the name of each application or program for a vendor license associated with an executable file.
   Year	Use this to specify the time-range for the report yearly such as 2020, 2021, 2022, etc.
   Month	Use this to specify the month of the report you want to view.
   Day of Month	Use this to specify the day from 1 to 31 of the calendar month.
   Hour	Use this to specify the hour of the day in a 24-hour format (0 to 23). Use the Time Hour to determine the busiest time of day for a particular month. All usage will be categorized based on the time of day (24-hour span) in which it occurs.
   Denial Reason	Use this to specify the reasons for license denial.

4. Click the View Report button in the top-right corner of the report viewer. Wait for the report to generate. This may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the data.
