# License Efficiency Chart

This report provides information on license use efficiency. It also shows the license use duration per concurrency level. The Within 95% Use and Within 99% Use indicate the licenses needed to support 95% and 99% of license requests, respectively. This report helps you decide on procuring licenses during renewals and vendor negotiations.

Follow these instructions to generate a report:

1. On the Open iT Reporting Services web portal home page, click on the LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 folder.

   This will redirect you to the list of LicenseAnalyzer Level 1 report templates.

2. Click the License Efficiency Chart report template.

3. Select the Application Type, Vendor License, Application Name, Year, Month, and Hour you want to include in the report. You can also enter specific vendor licenses and application names in the search boxes to further refine the selection.

   Parameter	Description
   Application Type	Use this to specify the name of grouping from which data are classified (the same listing found in the Application Hierarchy > Application Type).
   Vendor License	Use this to specify the name of an application in a vendor license. The table list seen in the Application Hierarchy > Vendor License is the same, only arranged alphabetically (not by application name).
   Application Name	Use this to specify the name of each application or program for a vendor license associated an executable file.
   Year	Use this to specify the time-range for the report yearly such as 2020, 2021, 2022, etc.
   Month	Use this to specify the month of the report you want to view.
   Hour	Use this to specify the hour of the day in a 24-hour format (0 to 23). Use the Time Hour to determine the busiest time of day for a particular month. All usage will be categorized based on the time of day (24-hour span) in which it occurs.

4. Click the View Report button in the top-right corner of the report viewer. Wait for the report to generate. This may take a few minutes, depending on the size of the data.
