# Contract Management

The Contract Management interface is the software contract management tool for LicensePlanner. It is used to manage information about vendors, contracts under specific vendors, allocations, and license cost for chargeback and contract-based reporting.

# Enabling Contract Management

The Contract Management interface is hidden by default. To enable:

  1. Go to Administration > Configuration in Analysis Server.

  2. Locate the configuration key Root.Web.LicensePlanner.

  3. Click the value and it should transform into a dropdown.

  4. Set the value to True.

  5. Click Save to apply the changes.

  6. Click the Reset Session button located at the bottom of the configuration table.

  7. Confirm that Contract Management is visible and accessible under the Administration tab.

# Getting Started

To start contract management for chargeback implementation:

  1. Add vendor information in the Vendors page.

  2. Manage contracts under a vendor using the Contracts page.

  3. Manage software assets which are allocated to certain groups (such as departments, projects, divisions, etc.) using the Allocations page.

  4. Populate the License Cost interface.
